Settling In

I'm officially living on my own! Settling into my first home has been very cool. I've had a whole lot of Under the Tuscan Sun moments over the past few days. Lots of cleaning, unpacking, and making my place feel like home. I'm enjoying life without electricity and running water (8pm bedtime ahh). In the morning, I plan how much water I'll need for the day - taking into account hand washing, bathing, dishes, laundry, cooking and drinking. Each day my appreciation grows for the opportunity I have to volunteer and experience firsthand a new way of living.
